About CredentialGC
Why this site exists
If you search for contractor license requirements, you mostly find three things: state-board portals that don't answer the question in plain language, exam-prep vendor blogs with an obvious conflict of interest, and insurance lead-gen sites dressed up as directories. Almost none of them cite the actual statute or rule, show when a fee was last verified, or compare course providers honestly.
CredentialGC does exactly that: normalized requirements with statute citations and last-verified dates, plus neutral provider comparisons. Three states for now — Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina — with more coming if these prove useful.
Who writes it
Ilan Sender, an independent researcher. Not a lawyer, not a licensing official, and not a contractor — which is exactly why every claim on this site links to its source instead of asking you to take anyone's word for it. Nothing here is legal advice; verify with the official board before acting on anything.
How the site makes money
Some links to course providers may become affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission on purchases. That's the entire business model — no sponsored placements, no lead-gen, no selling your data. Comparisons include vendors who pay us nothing, and we publish facts vendors would rather we didn't. Details in the methodology.
